Overwhelming response to service camps by Consulate General of India in Toronto
In addition to life certificates, the staff provided other consular services to attendees.

The first snowfall of the season didn’t stop hundreds from turning out for the special service camps organized by the Consulate General of India in Toronto.
The consulate held its first camp at the Lakshmi Narayana Mandir in Scarborough on Nov. 8, where more than 400 senior citizens received life certificates and other consular services.
Beneficiaries praised the staff for their care, dignity and efficiency. A life certificate is required for the continuation of pension benefits.
The second camp, held at the Sikh Heritage Centre in Brampton, had to be extended beyond the scheduled hours as more than 700 life certificates were issued.
Despite the cold temperatures, drizzle and continuous snowfall, Indian senior citizens from the Brampton area lined up outside the venue adjoining the Sikh Heritage Centre gurdwara near Airport Road.
The consulate team was led by Kuljeet Singh Arora. In addition to life certificates, the staff provided other consular services to attendees.
