Taranjit Singh Sandhu / Sukhpal Singh Dhanoa
In a significant administrative move, the Government of India has appointed former Indian Ambassador to the United States, Taranjit Singh Sandhu, as the new Lieutenant Governor of Delhi.
According to an official statement issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan, President Droupadi Murmu has transferred the incumbent Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena to Ladakh and approved the appointment of Sandhu as his successor. The decision is being viewed as the beginning of a new chapter in the governance of the national capital, particularly at a time when coordination between the Delhi government and the central government has frequently been a subject of debate.
