The High Commission of India, Canberra, in Australia, has announced that it will host the “Explore India – Food & Tourism Festival,” with the aim of showcasing India’s culinary traditions and diverse tourism offerings to Australian audiences.

The Indian mission in Australia took to its official X account to announce the upcoming event, slated for March 28 and 29, and wrote,

“Join us to experience India’s diverse tourism destinations, vibrant cultural performances, and a delightful spread of Indian cuisine.”

The festival, scheduled to take place at Lennox Gardens in Canberra, is expected to highlight India’s food culture alongside boosting the nation’s growing appeal as a global travel destination.

Along with the food and tourism festival, the event will also mark a Holi celebration.

The event will offer free entry to attendees, along with complimentary Thandai, a traditional Indian cold beverage.

Along with the availability of food, drinks, and Holi colors, the event will also feature multicultural performances, DJ, and dance workshops, among other activities.

The initiative aligns with India’s broader outreach efforts to strengthen cultural diplomacy and people-to-people ties with Australia.
