Gita Gopinath reflects on global economic policymaking at Duke

Gita Gopinath, former First Deputy Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund, discussed real-world impact of economic policy, outlining how economic decisions shape countries in crisis and recovery.

Speaking at the Rubenstein Distinguished Lecture at the Duke Sanford School of Public Policy, Gopinath said, "Economics is hugely consequential,” adding that countries succeed or fail based on adherence to core principles.
