German Ambassador invites skilled Indians amid US H-1B row

In a video appeal, Dr Philipp Ackermann highlighted Germany’s stable migration policies and job opportunities as the US hikes H-1B fees.

German Ambassador to India, Dr Philipp Ackermann, has invited highly skilled Indian professionals to consider working in Germany, stressing the country’s stable migration policies and employment opportunities. His remarks came in a video message and on X a week after the United States announced a steep hike in H-1B visa application fees.

“This is a good moment to talk about Indians working in Germany,” Ackermann said in the video. “Indians are amongst the top earners in Germany. The average Indian working in Germany earns more than the average German working in Germany.”
