Dear editor,
Wrongfully Imprisoned Indian-Origin Man, 64-Year-Old Subbu, Deported Recently (Issue: 13 Oct)
It is deeply disturbing that 64-year-old Subbu, a man of Indian origin, was recently deported after spending 43 years in prison for a crime he did not commit. The unimaginable stress, humiliation, and suffering he has endured during this wrongful imprisonment cannot be overstated.
Such grave miscarriages of justice highlight the critical need for judicial systems around the world to act with the utmost care, fairness, and responsibility. Every judgment passed by a court carries immense weight and consequences, and a single error can ruin a life.
Wrongful judgments must not happen. It is the duty of every judiciary to ensure that truth and justice prevail above all.
