Worcester students develop healthcare guide for immigrants

The handbook provides step-by-step guidance to help new immigrants access care in the region.

Two Indian American medical students developed a handbook to help newly arrived immigrants in Worcester, Massachusetts, understand and access the health care system.

The ‘Bridging the Gap’ guide created by UMass Chan Medical School students, Rhea Kukkal and Jenna Patel specifically benefits immigrants who may face language, cultural or logistical barriers in navigating the system.
