The U.S.-India Strategic Partnership Forum (USISPF) condemned the murder of two Israeli diplomats in Washington, D.C., calling it a “heinous act of terrorism.”

The victims, Yaron Lischinsky, 28, and Sarah Milgrim, were attending a diplomatic event hosted by the American Jewish Committee on May 21 when they were fatally shot. The suspect, Elias Rodriguez, 30, of Chicago, reportedly shouted “Free, Free Palestine” during his arrest and later confessed to the shooting.

In an official statement, USISPF emphasized the shared democratic values of the United States and India, stating, “USISPF represents two of the most vibrant democracies, in both the United States and India, that stands firmly and steadfast against any and all forms of violence and heinous act of terrorism.”

“We send our heartfelt condolences to the families of the victims and to the people of Israel,” the organization added.

The statement also highlighted trilateral cooperation between the United States, India, and Israel through initiatives like the India-Middle East-Europe Economic Corridor (IMEC) and I2U2, underscoring the importance of unity against “nefarious actors who abet terrorism.”

USISPF expressed confidence in the U.S. justice system, stating, “We are confident that authorities in Washington will take the necessary action against the culprit and those guilty of aiding and abetting such a crime.”

The attack has been widely condemned by international leaders. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu labeled it a result of growing incitement and hatred against Israel, while U.S. President Donald Trump described it as a clear act of antisemitism and radical hate.
