Trump has unleashed dangerous attack on immigrants, says Indian American Impact

In the wake of LA protests, Indian American Impact Fund has issued a strong-worded statement against the president’s use of military troops.

Indian American Impact has strongly criticized a series of moves by the Trump administration over the past four days, calling them a “coordinated series of attacks targeting immigrant communities, religious minorities, and Americans exercising their right to protest”. The advocacy group warned that these actions represent a serious threat to civil liberties and democratic values.

The group’s executive director, Chintan Patel, said the administration is using immigration policy as a political weapon.
