Sunidhi Chauhan to perform at ICC women’s world cup final

Chauhan will also perform India’s national anthem before the start of play. South Africa’s national anthem will be sung by Cape Town-based vocalist Tarynn Bank.

Indian singer Sunidhi Chauhan is set to perform at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 Final between India and South Africa on Nov. 2 at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium

The pre-match and mid-innings performances will combine live music with large-scale choreography and visual effects.

Chauhan will be joined by 60 dancers, while choreographer Sanjay Shetty has designed a fireworks and laser display featuring a 350-member supporting cast and drone formations over the stadium.

Chauhan will also perform India’s national anthem before the start of play. South Africa’s national anthem will be sung by Cape Town-based vocalist Tarynn Bank.

Speaking about the performance, Chauhan said she was looking forward to the occasion. “It’s an honour to be performing at the Women’s World Cup and I am really looking forward to the big day,” she said. 

“With India in the final and the stands packed with enthusiastic fans, I’m sure the atmosphere will be electric, and it will be a day all of us will remember for long,” she added.

The 41-year-old singer, who began her career as a teenager, has been a prominent voice in Hindi film music for over two decades. She rose to prominence with Ruki Ruki Si Zindagi from the 1999 film Mast and went on to record hundreds of songs across languages.

The ICC Women’s World Cup final will conclude the month-long tournament that has drawn record attendance and viewership. With India reaching the final, organisers expect a full-capacity crowd at the 55,000-seat DY Patil Stadium.
