Raunak Chandra has been appointed as the Executive Director – Head of Financial Resource Management, Treasury at SMBC (Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation) Group's New York office.
Chandra will be responsible for leading financial resource management and treasury functions, strengthening liquidity, funding strategy, and balance sheet optimisation for the organisation. His appointment reflects SMBC Group’s focus on reinforcing its global treasury and financial governance capabilities.
He joined the company with over 15 years of industry experience, playing key roles for industry leaders including UBS
and Credit Suisse.

Raunak launched his career as a Quantitative Research Analyst at Jaypee Capital Services Ltd, where he developed a solid foundation in quantitative analysis and financial markets.
He holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Management with specializations in Finance and General Management from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, along with a Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering from Motilal Nehru National Institute of Technology.
