Rachna Sizemore Heizer, an attorney, small business owner, and member of the Fairfax County School Board, is competing for the Braddock District seat on the Fairfax County Board of Supervisors.
Sizemore Heizer, who is of Indian origin, is the first Indian American elected countywide in Fairfax and the first Asian American woman to serve on the School Board. She has represented Braddock District families since 2020, first as an at-large member and now as the district’s representative.
In her announcement, she said, “Braddock is where I built my life — where I raised my kids, fought for all families to have a seat at the table, grew my business, and dedicated myself to public service. I know this community, and I know how to get results.”
She added that her record includes “delivering critical resources to our schools to standing up to attacks from MAGA extremists in Richmond and Washington. I’ve led with compassion and courage. Now, I’m ready to bring that same leadership to the Board of Supervisors — to stand up for federal workers and fight for affordable housing, strong schools, safe neighborhoods, and a Fairfax County where every person has an opportunity to thrive — no matter their zip code, income, age, or background".
