Produced and directed by Sai Bhatawadekar, the concert will feature dancers, musicians and guest artists from within and outside the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, reflecting a campus-community collaboration.
Paheli—which translates to “puzzle,” “riddle,” or “enigma”—is a thematic production that combines established repertoire with new interpretations, inviting audiences into the “mystery and magic of music and movement.”
Bhatawadekar, a faculty member at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa, has previously led interdisciplinary dance productions bringing together students, faculty and community artists across classical Indian and contemporary forms.
Organizers said the concert will present a range of styles, combining traditional Indian dance vocabularies with contemporary staging and cross-genre collaborations.
Discounted tickets are available for students. Further information and bookings are available through the Honolulu Museum of Art website.
