The Ohio State University has named Aravind Chandrasekaran as the interim dean of the Max M. Fisher College of Business for a two-year term.
Chandrasekaran, currently the senior associate dean and Fisher Distinguished Professor of operations, will also hold the John W. Berry, Sr. chair in business.

He will lead efforts to enhance Fisher’s undergraduate experience through experiential learning, entrepreneurial training and the integration of artificial intelligence. His vision includes strengthening faculty recruitment, expanding industry engagement, and reimagining the college’s physical infrastructure to better support collaboration and innovation.
“Fisher has a strong legacy of excellence, and I’m excited to work with our outstanding faculty, staff, students and alumni to build on that foundation,” said Chandrasekaran, who joined the Fisher faculty in 2009.
“Our scale and volume are a source of strength, and together we will continue to march forward expanding our corporate outreach, fostering innovation and driving meaningful impact in business education and practice.”
Chandrasekaran is an expert in health care operations, product innovation and organizational learning. His work has been widely published, including in Management Science, Harvard Business Review and the Journal of Operations Management.
He succeeds Trevor Brown, who served as interim dean over the past academic year while continuing his role as dean of the John Glenn College of Public Affairs.
Executive vice president and provost Ravi V. Bellamkonda praised Chandrasekaran’s leadership and said he is confident Fisher will thrive under his guidance. “Guided by his leadership, and with support from the Fisher and Ohio State community, the college will be poised for continued success.”
