GATC Health Corp, a California-based AI-powered drug discovery company, has appointed Rahul Gupta as its new president.

As the first medical doctor to lead the ONDCP, Gupta oversaw the coordination of the United States' $44 billion drug policy budget and led a national response that reduced overdose deaths by 24 percent in 2024. His tenure emphasized the urgent need for non-opioid alternatives and data-driven drug strategies. He aims to prioritise the same mission in his new role.
"Joining GATC Health is a natural evolution of my public health journey," said Gupta. "The company’s AI-based platform has the potential to redefine how we discover and deliver safer, faster, and more effective therapies."
“Gupta's remarkable expertise and forward-thinking approach make him the perfect leader to join our team as we guide GATC Health into its next transformative chapter. With Gupta's leadership, we are poised to accelerate the delivery of innovative therapies that address some of the most pressing health challenges of our time," said Jayson Uffens, CTO of GATC Health.
Gupta will work alongside GATC’s board and leadership to expand commercialization efforts, secure regulatory alignment, and advocate for AI-driven healthcare innovation.
GATC Health's technology simulates complex human biochemical interactions to accelerate drug discovery, reduce clinical trial costs, and minimize reliance on animal testing. The platform has earned recognition for its potential to bypass traditional testing models by predicting drug safety and efficacy with high accuracy.
