Mohanty has more than 20 years of leadership experience in AI, data, cloud and cybersecurity across healthcare, life sciences, aviation and financial services.

He most recently served as senior vice president and chief information and technology officer at Blue Health Intelligence, leading its shift to a cloud-first, AI-native analytics ecosystem that supports platforms impacting more than 200 million lives and managing $700 billion in healthcare spend.

Before that, he was chief data officer at Prime Therapeutics, where he launched the company’s first enterprise Data and AI strategy, built a GCP-based analytics platform for over 1,000 users and retired $20 million in legacy infrastructure.

His earlier roles include senior technology and transformation leadership positions at United Airlines, CVS Health, JPMorgan Chase and Marsh, along with advisory work for startups in oral healthcare and AI cybersecurity and non-profits in mental health.

Co-founders Krishna Nimmagadda and Sanjay Gogia said Mohanty’s experience in enterprise semantics and decision intelligence strengthens the firm’s ability to deliver outcomes under increasing client demand for speed and governance.

“Sam brings a rare combination of strategic vision and deep understanding of the intelligence layer modern enterprises now require,” they said. “Clients today are under pressure to deliver outcomes faster, with stronger governance and leaner teams. Sam’s leadership amplifies our mission to offer a new model of transformation powered by our AI-native platform.”

Chief technology officer Chandeep Singh said Mohanty’s background aligns with NuStudio.AI’s effort to build environments in which data, knowledge and AI agents operate cohesively.

“Sam has spent years operating at the forefront of semantic and decision intelligence AI architectures. He strengthens the foundation we’ve built with NuStudio, enabling an environment where data, knowledge, and AI agents operate cohesively,” he said.

Commenting on his appointment, Mohanty said industries are being asked to adopt AI at a pace their current data foundations were not designed to support. “The biggest gap we see across industries is not just access to data, but the lack of structure, context, and meaning needed for AI systems to understand and use that data effectively,” he said.

He added that NuStudio.AI’s approach embeds semantic clarity and contextual understanding into modernization programmes, enabling organizations to cut complexity, eliminate technical debt and achieve outcomes previously out of reach.

Mohanty holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering from the University of Mysore and completed the Global C-suite Program at Wharton Executive Education.
