In response to the recent terror attack in Kashmir, the National India Hub in Schaumburg has organized six candlelight marches since April 25, rallying the Indian community to pay tribute to the victims.
The most recent event, held May 3, drew hundreds of participants and featured a keynote address by Somnath Ghosh, Consul General of India in Chicago. After the in-house tribute session, attendees marched beneath the Indian and American flags in front of the National India Hub.

The events have drawn participation from more than 60 community organizations and thousands of individuals across faiths and generations. They have also attracted media attention for their scale and message, highlighting the growing civic engagement of Indian Americans.
Commenting on the significance of the events, Harish Kolasani, the founder of National India Hub said, "These events are not just moments of mourning; they are powerful statements of unity and resilience."

Founded in 2020, National India Hub has gained a reputation for being the world’s largest Indian community center. Its volunteer-led, self-sustaining model supports over 80 service organizations and thousands of families through cultural, educational, and humanitarian programs.
