Washington, May 6 (5Wh): UN Secretary General António Guterres on May 6 expressed concern over the precision Indian military strike in Pakistani-Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Pakistan in retaliation for the terrorist attack that took the lives of 26 tourists in Pahalgam last month.
“The Secretary-General is very concerned about the Indian military operations across the Line of Control and the international border. He calls for maximum military restraint from both countries,” Stéphane Dujarric, Spokesman for the Secretary-General, told reporters in response to a question.
“The world cannot afford a military confrontation between India and Pakistan,” he said, responding to questions about the Indian military strike at nine places in Pok and Pakistan.
