NAPA to honor NJ councilor Anabarasan

Councilman Sivaraman Anbarasan, of the Township of Franklin, Somerset County, NJ, has been recognized for his service by the National Academy of Public Administration, honoring him under their 250 Champions Initiative.
NAPA, along with LocalGov250, celebrate a diverse range of public servants through the awards, representing "government at its best". The 250 honorees, including Anbarasan, earned the recognition by going above and beyond, showing excellence in public service, and inspiring those around them. They were each nominated by a peer or fellow in public administration.
Anbarasan, an alumnus of the Indian Institute of Science, Bengaluru, India, holds an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
Before running for public office, he served as the CEO of CTC Corporation, the Dean of Sussex County Community College, Executive Dean of Camden County College, adjunct professor of Seton Hall University and the President of Deni Reality.

Celebrating the winners, James-Christian Blockwood, the President & CEO of the National Academy of Public Administration, said in a statement, “There are many leaders working in government across the country who are deserving of recognition, and this year marks an especially important time for our country to honor them. These 250 Champions are truly special and make a difference in our everyday lives.”
He added, “We look forward to celebrating all of them, and hope this inspires future public servants and the American people".
Anbarasan, along with the other winners, will be honored by the NAPA on May 12.
The National Academy of Public Administration, established in 1967 and chartered by Congress, is a nonpartisan, nonprofit organization dedicated to helping government leaders address the country's most pressing management challenges.
NAPA comprises over 1,000 fellows, including former cabinet secretaries, governors, mayors, and leading scholars. The Academy promotes excellence in public administration through independent research, advisory services, and thought leadership.
