Kishore Kancharla to lead North America Telugu Society as chair

Kancharla will serve a two-year term beginning January 2026, according to NATS.

The North America Telugu Society (NATS) has named Dallas-based entrepreneur Kishore Kancharla as chairman of its board of directors for the January 2026 to December 2027 term.

He succeeds Prasanth Pinnamaneni, who completed his transformational "NATS 2.0" tenure at the end of 2025.

Kancharla brings extensive leadership and board-level experience across hospitality, technology, real estate, manufacturing, and investment sectors. He is the chief executive officer of Bawarchi Restaurants, an international restaurant group that has expanded to more than 50 locations across the United States, Australia, and Canada

He is also a co-founder of Arkons Ventures, a Texas-based real estate investment firm, and serves as president of Pinnacle Surfaces, which operates across multiple U.S. cities.

In addition to his business roles, Kancharla currently serves on advisory and corporate boards, including positions with Fastra Investments, Mygo Consulting Inc., and Konaris. 

His professional background includes earlier leadership roles in the technology sector, as well as executive responsibilities with international operations in the natural stone and mining industry.

NATS noted that Kancharla has previously held leadership responsibilities within the organization and has been involved in community-focused initiatives aimed at cultural preservation and diaspora engagement.
