A tough place to get a reservation in, Bunglow managed to secure a seat at the bar for Suman and her husband and also a private audience with Khanna for the super-fan.

Suman highlighted the role Khanna played in her life and said, "After losing my mother at 13, I didn’t know how to cook, but I had to learn, for myself and for my sister. In the beginning, I tried to recall maa ke haath ka khana, holding onto memories and instincts."

She added, "Later, like many 90s kids, I learned through YouTube, and that’s where I learned so much from Chef Vikas Khanna ji."

Describing her experience at Bunglow as 'food for her soul', she noted that Khanna gave her "Not just food, but warmth. Not just a meal, but love."
