ITServe Alliance, a network representing over 2,500 small and medium-sized IT firms across North America, has donated $21,000 in response to the recent devastating flash floods that caused loss of lives and damage across Central Texas.

The Austin Chapter of the alliance, in coordination with the ITServe Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Committee, officially presented a check to Byron Wilkinson, President and General Manager at KVUE Austin, representing the TEGNA Texas Flood Relief Fund at the Communities Foundation of Texas.

On July 4, a catastrophic flash flooding devastated Texas Hill Country, particularly Kerr County, claiming at least 136 lives and leaving several missing. The Guadalupe River surged 26 feet in 45 minutes due to heavy rainfall from Tropical Storm Barry's remnants, overwhelming areas like Camp Mystic.

Vineeth R. Amaram, President of ITServe Austin Chapter, presented the check during the chapter’s monthly meeting recently, along with Abhishek Boinapally, President of the Dallas Chapter, Murali Bandlapalli, ITServe National Director of Bylaws, and National CSR Chairs Sri Chavva and Swathy Sanapureddy.

ITServe members of both Austin and Dallas chapters and community leaders participated in the event.

Expressing deep sorrow over the Texas tragedy, Amaram said, “These are our neighbors, our community. In just 7 days, our members came together and raised over $20,000 — a testament to the compassion, unity, and swift action that defines ITServe.”

He added, “Through this campaign, we not only responded quickly to help flood-affected families but also demonstrated the values that define ITServe — compassion, leadership, and service. This donation reflects ITServe’s long-standing commitment to giving back, especially during critical times for our fellow Texans.”

Thanking ITServe for their generosity, Wilkinson said, “Thank you for including me in such a meaningful evening. On behalf of KVUE Austin and the TEGNA Texas Flood Relief Fund at the Communities Foundation of Texas, we extend our deepest gratitude for your generous donation.”

He added, "Your leadership will directly impact families across Texas recovering from disaster. It’s inspiring to see how ITServe continues to lead in giving back.”

Anju Vallabhaneni, ITServe’s National President echoed the sentiments expressed by Amaram and said, “This noble initiative — with rapid mobilization, generous contributions, and seamless coordination — exemplifies ITServe’s commitment to supporting communities in times of crisis.”

Raghu Chittimalla, Governing Board Chair, added, “This effort reaffirms ITServe’s mission to advance the interests of the IT industry and also serve as a pillar of support for our communities.”

Siva Moopanar, President-Elect, noted, “I thank our members for once again stepping up. ITServe’s mission is to support and empower local communities — and we are proud to be at the forefront.”
