A major highlight of the event was the India-U.S. Trade Facilitation Portal, a digital platform designed to connect Indian exporters with American buyers, distributors and members of the Indian diaspora.
The portal aims to strengthen trade relations and expand business opportunities between India and the United States. Indian exporters and U.S. businesses were encouraged to register on the platform to explore opportunities.
At the India Lounge, the Consulate showcased products under India’s One District One Product initiative, including artisanal chocolates and taffy, Assam Eri silk, handcrafted handbags from Odisha and South Indian filter coffee.
According to the Consulate, the showcase aimed to promote Indian artisans, weavers, MSMEs and food entrepreneurs by bringing authentic Indian products directly to American consumers.
