According to the organizers, the event blended traditional bhajans with concert-style staging and AI-powered digital imagery displayed on large LED screens synchronized with live performances. The production incorporated artificial intelligence and machine learning-based visuals to accompany the performances throughout the evening.
The event drew attendees ranging in age from 10 to 85, with organizers keeping the dance floor open throughout the evening as participants sang and danced to devotional music in a call-and-response format for more than three hours.
Several community leaders and dignitaries attended the event, including entrepreneur and philanthropist Piyush Patel, Pandit Praveen Shastri of Sanatan Mandir in Parsippany, philanthropist Anu Kumari, VHPA president Tejal Shah, Indian politician Vijay Jolly, and representatives from multiple community organizations.
The evening opened with a Ganesh Vandana by team Cultivate Talents, followed by a 45-minute performance by Kevin and Krishna Das Sharma’s seven-member group featuring renditions of the Hanuman Chalisa and other chants accompanied by instruments including the mridangam and harmonium.
The second segment featured a 15-member ensemble performing what organizers described as a non-stop “Bhajan Jam” with instruments including the djembe, tabla, dholak, keyboard, guitar and drums. The performances were divided into themed devotional segments dedicated to various hindi gods and goddesses.
One of the highlights of the evening was a rendition of the “Shiv Tandav Strotam” by 16-year-old vocalist Ishaan Manurker. Organizers said the performance received an emotional response from attendees and was praised for encouraging young talent in devotional music events.
During the event, organizers also launched the music album “Shiv ki Mahima,” composed and performed by singer Rajan Sharma.
The vocal lineup included music director Payel Das, Nidhi Mishra, Aparna Oak, Anchal Sinha Srivastava, Rajan Sharma, Ishaan Manurker, Ankur Vyas, Vibhu Srivastava and Vibha Alaigh. The accompanying musicians included Monty Lalani on tabla, Hemant Sharma on dholak, Anil Sachdeva on drums and djembe, Surya Mukerjee on keyboard and Sanket Bakshi on bass guitar.
The event concluded with a collective rendition of “Aarti Kunj Bihari Ki.” Organizers said the program aimed to combine Indian cultural traditions with modern technology-driven experiences.
