Organizers said the program includes “action-oriented programming focused on policy, advocacy, and community care,” along with policy workshops and action labs aimed at strengthening organizing strategies and preparing participants for engagement with decision-makers.
A central component of the event is South Asian Hill Day, where attendees meet their elected representatives in Capitol Hill to discuss issues affecting their communities.
The summit will also feature networking and affinity spaces and conclude with a gala marking Impact’s 10-year journey and highlighting South Asian leadership.
Organizers described the event as the “premier national gathering of Indian and South Asian American changemakers,” adding that the theme “We Belong” reflects a moment when “immigrants are under attack and belonging itself is being questioned.”
The event is being held as the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, marks 25 years since the Sept. 11 attacks, and as Impact completes a decade of civic engagement focused on political participation and representation among Indian and South Asian Americans.
