How Canada’s health care woes pushed PR holder back to India

A former Deloitte consultant, Sahil Peris said he was living the immigrant dream until a health crisis exposed gaps in Canada’s health care system, prompting his decision to move back to India despite the country’s advantages.
Peris moved to Canada five years ago after enrolling in a top MBA program and later joined Deloitte in Toronto as a senior consultant after graduating.However, a neck injury in the final year of his program changed his trajectory. In an Instagram video, Peris said, “I have permanent residency in Canada but I still choose to live in India and I’ll tell you why.”
