Indian-American venture capitalist Asha Jadeja Motwani has urged Indian officials to consult her for insights into Donald Trump’s mindset, describing herself as the only major Indian-American donor to the Republican Party.
“The only Indian American megadonor to the Republican Party is me. I strongly recommend that the Indian side reach out to me for my opinion on what’s going on in Trump’s mind. I may not be accurate, but I will be close,” Motwani posted on X.

She pointed readers to public donor records for verification, noting that individual contributions can be checked via the Federal Election Commission and transparency portals such as OpenSecrets.
In a message to Trump, Motwani stressed that India’s massive market remains uniquely open to the US, without trade deals with China or the EU, and urged strengthening ties with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
“All other Asian countries that we have struck a deal with have also got deals with China and the EU… Its massive market is available to us SOLELY and it’s an opportunity of a lifetime for the United States to nail it!!” she wrote.
