Indian MP Tejasvi Surya, a political leader from the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party, hosted U.S. Ambassador to India, Sergio Gor in Bengaluru.
Gor, who reached the city for a meeting focused on strengthening bilateral ties, shared glimpses of his day-out with Surya. The duo explored cultural touchstones of the city, from filter coffee to a late-night auto-rickshaw ride.
Surya shared glimpses of their night-out on X and said, "Over some masala dosa & strong coffee at Filter Coffee, Indiranagar, we had an engaging conversation on the growing India US partnership, especially in trade, technology and innovation following the interim trade agreement."
Surya added ,"Also introduced him to Namma Auto. A memorable ride indeed."

The duo also recorded a video spotlighting the city's vibrancy. In the video, shared by Surya, he welcomed Gor to the city, saying, " Ambassador, welcome to Bengaluru, India's best city, India's most happening city. And thank you so much for what you are doing for the US-India relationship."
Gor responded, "I got the most incredible host right here, showing Bengaluru for the first time."

Additionally, Gor also shared a glimpse of his meeting with the Indian MP and said, "Just arrived in Bengaluru! From startups to street food, Bengaluru’s energy is unmatched! Thank you to my great host Tejasvi Surya."

In another post, Surya highlighted the ties between the two countries and said, "Bengaluru truly represents the journey from masala dosa to machine learning, blending tradition with cutting-edge innovation and plays a vital role in strengthening economic and people-to-people ties between our two democracies."
He added, "With over 700 American companies and 43% of India’s software exports coming from Bengaluru, our city is central to US-India economic ties. Home to 40% of India’s GCCs, Bengaluru continues to drive innovation-led partnership between our two democracies."
