Detroit and Chicago to host first-ever India Abroad Dialogue

Michigan Congressman Shri Thanedar will lead discussions on civic engagement and public representation, at the detroit event.

Indian-American leaders, entrepreneurs, and changemakers are set to convene in Chicago and Detroit on Dec.13–14 for the inaugural India Abroad Dialogue, an exclusive forum dedicated to shaping the global Indian narrative and amplifying the diaspora’s impact across business, politics, and community development.

The Detroit session will be headlined by Congressman Shri Thanedar, underscoring the event’s commitment to public representation and community empowerment within the Indian-American community.



Other Speakers include: Dr. Ajith Kadakol, Vascular Surgeon and Pediatric Surgeon; Dr. Anil Kumar, Surgeon and Political Leader in Southeast Michigan; Ashok Baddi, Entrepreneur and Community Leader; Hema Rachmale, Entrepreneur and Community Leader; Narayana Swamy, Community Leader; Sunny Reddy, Entrepreneur, Community Leader, and Co-Chair of the Michigan Republican Party; and Anu Gopalakrishnan, Executive Director of the Indo American Chamber of Commerce (IACC-USA).

Details for the Chicago event are yet to be announced.

The forum is supported by community partners including the Foundation for India and Indian Diaspora Studies (FIIDS), the US Indian Community Foundation, Hindu Business Network (HBN), and HinduAction, highlighting their commitment to strengthening and connecting the Indian-American community across the United States.

With its focus on identity, public policy, entrepreneurship, and India’s expanding global footprint, the India Abroad Dialogue promises two days of meaningful discourse and impactful collaboration, organizers said.
