The Chicago Association of Rajasthanis in America (ARA) held its annual Diwali Milan Gala Dinner on Oct. 25, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Glen Ellyn/Lombard.
M. S. Chouhan from the Indian Consulate in Chicago attended as the chief guest and was received with a traditional turban ceremony. The event drew more than 200 attendees from the local Rajasthani community.
The program began with a 'Laxmi Aarti' followed by a 'Ganesh Vandna' dance by Asha Mehta. Several traditional and contemporary performances by community members continued through the evening.

Youth members organized games and activities, contributing to an interactive atmosphere.
Chairman Ram Saini acknowledged the support of the executive committee and volunteers, including president Rakesh Kumar, co-vice presidents Ekta Mundada and Neha Patodia, treasurer Avdesh Mishra, emcee Dipesh, and Pooja Sharma.
The association stated that community gatherings like this help sustain cultural ties among Rajasthanis living in the U.S. ARA’s next public event will be its Holi celebration, with details to follow.
