Air India revised its inflight meal menu across major international routes, introducing a wider range of Indian and international dishes as part of its ongoing overhaul of operations and customer services.
The updated menu is now available on most long-haul flights departing from India, including services from Delhi to London Heathrow, New York, Melbourne, Sydney, Toronto and Dubai; from Mumbai and Bengaluru to San Francisco; and from Mumbai to New York.

The updated menu draws from regional Indian cuisines alongside Asian and European dishes. Among the Indian dishes added to the menu are Awadhi Paneer Anjeer Pasanda, Murgh Massalam, Malabari chicken curry, Rajasthani besan chilla and malai palak kofta.
International items include Japanese teppanyaki bowls, citrus tiger prawns, Seoul-flamed prawns, manicotti forestiere and Mediterranean cold plates.
The airline has also included dishes aimed at younger travellers, such as chicken bibimbap and matcha-based desserts.
Air India said it will continue to offer more than 18 special meal types, including vegan, gluten-free and allergen-conscious options. Passengers can pre-select meals through the airline’s app, which also provides allergen information.
The changes were overseen by Chef Sandeep Kalra, who recently joined the airline. Cabin crew have undergone additional training ahead of the rollout.
“At the very core, the new food and beverage enhancements draw inspiration from Air India's commitment to continuous innovation and transforming the customer experience,” said Rajesh Dogra, chief customer experience officer.
The changes apply across all cabin classes and include adjustments to meal combinations, dietary options and presentation.
First Class will offer expanded multi-course meals with a broader dessert and beverage spread, while Business Class will feature customisable meal components. Premium Economy and Economy will see updated regional items and revised tray layouts.
The airline said the rollout will be extended to remaining international and domestic sectors.
