Throughout the event, organizers outlined the foundation’s efforts to expand access to education, health awareness and skill development through its one-teacher school model. Attendees contributed funds that led to the sponsorship of more than 100 Ekal schools during the program, marking a significant step in extending educational access to underserved communities.

The event was organized by the Chicago Metro and North Chapter teams. Organizers highlighted the role of youth volunteers, noting their participation and leadership throughout the evening. Their involvement was presented as an example of continued engagement among younger members of the organization.

The leadership team for the event included Kamlesh Shah, executive board member; Ankita Shah, regional president and Chicago Metro chapter president; Rootvij Bhatt, Chicago North chapter president; and Kinnari Sachala, vice president and youth coordinator.

They were supported by a broader group of volunteers and organizers, including Monal Shah, Nilesh Shah, Ashwin and Gita Desai, Smita Shah, Dina Shah, Bhaskar Patel, Shilpa Doshi, Mahesh and Geeta Shah, Dr. Nishendu and Purvi Baxi, Narayan Doshi and Pravin Raval.

In addition to its primary education program, the foundation runs initiatives focused on digital literacy, women’s empowerment, vocational training, health awareness and sustainable farming.

Organizers said the fundraiser reflected ongoing community support for expanding educational opportunities in rural India while maintaining engagement among volunteers and donors.
