Chapman University hosted an AI Impact Summit at its Argyros College of Business & Economics in collaboration with the Government of India.
The event was held ahead of the Global AI Impact Summit scheduled to take place in New Delhi in Feb. 2026. The campus was among a limited number of universities globally selected to host a pre-summit preview event linked to the upcoming Global AI Impact Summit in India.

The summit included the participation of the Consul General of India in Los Angeles, K. J. Srinivasa, who attended as the chief guest. The keynote address was delivered by Jay Cherian of the Google Applied AI Team.
The program began with an introduction by Chapman University business student and Society for Manufacturing Engineers Chapman Student Chapter president Aria Alahmad, followed by remarks from adjunct professor Yatri Shukla, who outlined the university’s academic offerings. Chapman University provost Michael Ibba welcomed business and community leaders and delivered opening remarks.
Consul General Srinivasa presented letters of appreciation addressed to Chapman University president Matt Parlow, provost Mike Ibba, Pradip Shukla, and keynote speaker Jay Cherian, thanking the university and the Argyros College of Business & Economics.
Presentations by AI startup founders included Starlight Solutions by Dinesh Kulkarni, StarQuiz by Cem Cizem, and Purpose.app by Raj Singh. A faculty panel on artificial intelligence research and its impacts featured Sarah Bana, Seth Benzell, Jonathan Hersh, and Erik Linstead and was moderated by vice president of Research Martina Nieswandt.

The event also acknowledged the support of dean Tom Turk of the Argyros College of Business & Economics, chief information officer Phillip Lyle, Thompson Policy Institute executive director Meghan Cosier, executive director Araceli Martinez, and other campus leaders.
The summit was also attended by several business and community leaders, including TiE Global Board member Anshuman Sinha and TiE leaders Ashish Saboo and Partha Dutta.
