‘Border 2,’ starring Sunny Deol, has crossed the $1 million mark in North America on its second day following its theatrical release on Jan. 23.
The film, directed by Anurag Singh, has marked a strong start domestically as well as in prominent overseas territories.

After opening with a $435K collection on the first day, ‘Border 2’ received a response of $632K on Jan. 24.
On the early evening of Jan. 25, ‘Border 2’ collected $290K, and even though a full-day collection would typically have increased further gains, the numbers are expected to be less than the second day due to storm-related disruptions across North America, affecting late-evening shows and overall turnout.
The milestone showcases Deol's renewed overseas traction following the huge cross-border success of ‘Gadar 2’, while also portraying that patriotic action dramas continue to be favourites among diaspora audiences.
In India, ‘Border 2’ yielded an $13.2m (Rs 121 crore) weekend, after opening at $3.27m (Rs 30 crore) on Jan. 23, increasing to $3.98m (Rs 36.5 crore) on the next day, and followed by a jump to $5.95m (Rs 54.5 crore) on Jan. 25.
‘Border 2’ features Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, Ahan Shetty, Paramvir Cheema, Mona Singh, Anya Singh, Medha Rana, and Sonam Bajwa.
