Bangladesh Human Rights Watch accuses Yunus of corruption

Activists accused the Nobel Peace Prize laureate of leading an unconstitutional regime in Bangladesh, fueling extremism with alleged foreign backing and donor misuse.

Members of the advocacy group Bangladesh Human Rights Watch (BHRW) voiced serious concerns about what they described as an increasingly unstable political situation in Bangladesh, at a press conference held on Apr.23 in the Cosgrove Room at the National Press Club of Washington D.C. 

Citing a rise in Islamist radicalism, widespread human rights violations, and alleged corruption by Nobel Peace Prize laureate Dr. Muhammad Yunus, the speakers made an urgent appeal for international awareness and intervention.
