Aravindan Vijayaraghavan wins NorthwesternU teaching award

His research spans theoretical computer science, machine learning and data science.

Northwestern University named Indian-origin computer scientist Aravindan Vijayaraghavan among seven faculty members selected for the 2026 University Teaching Awards.

Vijayaraghavan, an associate professor of computer science at Northwestern University, received the Charles Deering McCormick Professor of Teaching Excellence award as part of the university’s annual honors for faculty members who have demonstrated exceptional commitment to teaching.
