AP Singh elected Lions Club International President for 25-26

He has been a member of the club for over four decades.

The Lions Club has elected AP Singh of Kolkata, India, as the International President for the year 2025-26. He was elected at 107th international convention at Orlando, Florida, in the United States on July 13-17.

The Lions Club is a global volunteer organisation that has around 1.4 million members in more than 49,000 clubs in over 200 geographies. It runs programmes dedicated to health, youth outreach, scholarships, environment, disaster relief, etc.

Singh, who is a practicing chartered accountant and has family business interests in automobile dealerships, was serving as first-Vice president before being elected president.

A member since 1984, after joining the Calcutta Vikas Lions Club, Singh has held many positions within the association, including district governor and council chairperson. He has also served as GMT international coordinator for four years and has been a member of many ad-hoc board committees.

A father of three, Singh was the chairperson for the 2017 DGE seminar in Chicago, USA, and has served as faculty at more than 50 ALLIs/RLLIs, RLLIs, FDIs and LCIP certification programs. He has also served as multi-national coordinator for Campaign SightFirst II, CA leader for Campaign 100, member of the LCIF Steering Committee and as chairperson of the National SightFirst Committee of India.

In acknowledgment of his dedication to the association, he has been honored with several awards, including multiple International President’s Awards and the prestigious Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest accolade a member can recieve. He is a significant contributor to Campaign SightFirst II and Campaign 100, and a Progressive Melvin Jones Fellow.

Along with his Lions activities, Singh is also accredited with the initiation of various service programs in collaboration with other trusts, foundations and corporate houses. He has worked on establishing a web-based Lions leadership development platform, a micro-finance program, and has organized multiple large-scale online events to keep Lions engaged.
