U.S.-based nonprofit, American India Foundation (AIF) was named as one of the 2026 Best Nonprofits to Work For, for the third consecutive year.

Hundreds of nonprofits across the United States participated in the two-part evaluation process. The first component assessed workplace policies, practices, philosophy, systems, and demographics.
The second, and more heavily weighted, component consisted of a comprehensive employee survey measuring workplace experience and engagement. Best Companies Group administered the survey, analyzed the data, and determined the final rankings based on the combined results.
AIF said it recorded 100 percent employee participation in the evaluation process. “This recognition is a powerful affirmation of our people,” AIF chief executive officer Nishant Pandey said in a statement.
“At AIF, our team’s steadfast commitment to excellence and impact is matched by a culture that values collaboration, growth, and purpose. I’m proud of the passion and integrity our staff bring to advancing opportunity and dignity for millions across India every day,” he added.
The American India Foundation is a U.S.-based international development organization established in 2001 following the Gujarat earthquake, with the aim of supporting long-term initiatives across education, livelihoods, and public health in India.
In addition to its programmatic operations, the organization runs the Banyan Impact Fellowship, a binational leadership program that places young professionals from India and the United States with partner institutions working on development projects.
The organization is scheduled to be formally recognized at an awards ceremony in the spring, when the full list of honorees will be announced.
