The 14th Annual DC South Asian Film Festival (DCSAFF) returns this September, promising a powerful showcase of independent cinema that reflects the diverse and complex narratives of the South Asian diaspora. The festival will be held in person from Sept. 5–7 in Rockville, a Maryland suburb of Washington, DC, followed by a virtual festival running Sept. 8–30, expanding global access to its programming, organisers announced Aug. 28.

This year’s festival presents an ambitious lineup of 54 films from 12 countries, spanning 14 languages. Among them are 10 premieres, 12 documentaries, and 15 films directed by women, underscoring DCSAFF’s commitment to amplifying underrepresented voices, a media release said.
