मध्य प्रदेश के भोपाल में राष्ट्रीय स्वयंसेवक संघ द्वारा आयोजित महिलाओं पर केंद्रित एक कार्यक्रम में आरएसएस के सरसंघचालक मोहन भागवत ने लव जिहाद को रोकने को लेकर खुलकर बातचीत की। इस दौरान उन्होंने परिवार में नियमित बातचीत से लव जिहाद पर रोकथाम लगने की बात कही है। वहीं ओवैसी ने भागवत के बयान पर कड़ी प्रतिक्रिया दी है। उन्होंने लव जिहाद के आंकड़ों को संसद में पेश करने की अपील की है। जिसके बाद बीजेपी नेताओं ने ओवैसी के बयान पर जमकर पलटवार किया है।
