વીજ ફોલ્ટ થવાને કારણે આજે(12 માર્ચ, 2025) 3.45 વાગ્યા આસપાસ સુરત સહિતના દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતના મોટા ભાગના વિસ્તારોમાં વીજળી ગુલ થઈ હતી. વીજ સપ્લાય અટકી જવાને કારણે સુરત શહેરમાં કારખાનાઓમાં કામ કાજ બંધ કરવાની ફરજ પડી હતી. તેમજ મોટી સંખ્યામાં લોકો ટોરેન્ટ પાવરની ઓફિસ પહોંચ્યા હતા. તેમજ હોબાળો કર્યો હતો. જો કે ટોરેન્ટના 50 ટકા વિસ્તારોમાં વીજ પૂરવઠો પૂર્વવત થઈ ગયો છે. DGVCLના એમ.ડી. યોગેશ ચૌધરીએ જણાવ્યું કે, 400 KVની હાઈ વોલ્ટેજ સોર્સ લાઈન ટ્રિપ થઈ છે. સ્ટેટ લોડ ડિસ્પેન્સ સેન્ટર(જાંબુઆ)માં રિસ્ટોર કરવા માટે મેનેજ કરી રહ્યા છે. આખા દક્ષિણ ગુજરાતમાં આ સમસ્યા છે. ખાસ કરીને તાપી, ભરૂચ, રાજપીપળા, સુરત, નવસારી મોટાભાગે ડાઉન ફેઝમાં છે.
