સુરતના શિવશક્તિ ટેક્સટાઈલ માર્કેટના 25 ફેબ્રુઆરી 2025ના રોજ બેઝમેન્ટમાં ભીષણ આગ લાગી હતી. જેમાં એક વ્યક્તિનું દાઝી જવા તેમજ ગૂંગળાઈ જવાથી મોત નીપજ્યું હતું, ત્યારે 26 ફેબ્રુઆરીના રોજ આજે ફરી શિવશક્તિ ટેક્સટાઈલ માર્કેટમાં ભીષણ આગ લાગી છે. સવારે 7 વાગ્યાની આસપાસ માર્કેટમાં લાગેલી આગ છેલ્લા 10 કલાકથી કાબુમાં આવી નથી. ફાયર બ્રિગેડની 20થી વધુ ગાડીઓ ઘટનાસ્થળે ખડકી દેવાઈ છે અને સતત પાણીનો મારો ચલવામાં આવી રહ્યો છે. ઓક્સિજન માસ્ક સાથે ફાયર અધિકારીઓ અલગ અલગ ફ્લોર પર પાણીનો મારો ચલાવી આગ કાબુમાં લેવાનો પ્રયાસ કરી રહ્યા છે છતાં આગ પર કાબુ મેળવી શકાયો નથી. ભીષણ આગમાં ચાર માળમાં 100થી 150 દુકાનો બળીને ખાક થઈ ગઈ હોવાનું વેપારીઓ જણાવી રહ્યા છે. તેમજ 30થી 40 કરોડનું નુકસાન થયું હોવાનો અંદાજો લગાવવામાં આવી રહ્યો છે.
