What to Expect:
Meet Our Keynote Speaker: Dr. Gulshan Harjee
We are honored to welcome Dr. Gulshan Harjee as the keynote speaker for She Rises: A Night of Courage & Compassion. Dr. Harjee’s extraordinary journey is one of resilience, faith, and unyielding compassion. Expelled from her homeland of Tanzania, she survived war in Pakistan, the Iranian Revolution, cancer, and even a fatal bus crash—where she rescued others from the wreckage. She has endured the unimaginable: the loss of a spouse to gun violence and the trials of single parenthood. Despite life’s tragedies, Dr. Harjee rose to become a physician, humanitarian, and fierce community advocate. A graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine, she built a 30-year career in DeKalb County. She founded the Mosaic Health Center in Clarkston—offering free, comprehensive care to thousands of vulnerable patients. Her life embodies the spirit of “She Rises”—and her words promise to inspire, heal, and ignite action.
