India’s Semiconductor manufacturing dreams, now a game of numbers

Bangalore-based technology journalist, who served as the Information Technology Consulting Editor of The Hindu newspaper for over  a decade, after serving for over 20 years as an Indian defence scientist.  Winner of multiple awards, he was the first recipient of the (Indian) Polestar Award for" IT Journalist of the Year'  ( 1999) and the first  recipient in  print journalism of the UN-sponsored International PANOS-GKP  Award for his coverage of e-literacy  in Kerala ( 2003).He runs a tech news portal, IndiaTechOnline.
