Renowned Indian singer Shreya Ghoshal will headline the opening ceremony of the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025 in Guwahati on Sept. 30.
The official tournament anthem, Bring it Home, which Ghoshal lent her voice to, will also debut as part of the celebrations.

The month-long tournament will be staged across four Indian cities and Colombo, Sri Lanka, marking the Women’s World Cup’s return to India after 12 years. The Guwahati opening ceremony promises a vibrant display of culture, music, and cricketing spirit, with Ghoshal’s performance supported by thematic visuals and on-ground activations.
The 2025 edition comes at a pivotal moment for the women’s game, which has seen record-breaking viewership and rising investment worldwide. ICC officials expressed hope that the combination of fan-friendly pricing and star-powered entertainment will build unprecedented momentum for the event.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed the entertainment and ticketing details on Sept. 4, announcing record-low ticket prices for this year’s edition. Tickets for all league matches in India will begin at INR 100 (approximately USD 1.14), making it the most affordable ICC global event to date.
Fans can secure tickets early through an exclusive four-day pre-sale window available only to Google Pay users. The pre-sale opened on September 4, and runs until 19:00 IST on September 8, via Tickets.cricketworldcup.com. General public sales will follow from 20:00 IST on September 9.
