Malwa Mela in New Jersey unites MP diaspora

September 2025 177 views 4:39

The Friends of Madhya Pradesh New York–New Jersey hosted their much-awaited annual picnic at Rosedale Park on September 14, 2025.
With the theme “Malwa Mela”, the event celebrated the cultural heritage of Indore, Ujjain, and Mandu through dance, music, games, and authentic Madhya Pradesh cuisine — from Poha and Jalebi to Shrikhand and Halwa.

Over 300 attendees, including Deputy Consul General of India in New York, Vishal Harsh, joined the gathering. The event brought together families, friends, and generations of Madhya Pradesh natives living in the U.S., fostering unity, cultural pride, and community spirit.
