India's 'visa temple' promises tickets to the American dream

January 2029 831 views 01 Min 18 Sec

More than 1,000 Hindus visit the Chilkur Balaji temple in India each day in the belief that they will be blessed with a successful visa application for the US. Devotees believe the shrine is particularly effective at helping Indians leave the country, so much so that it has become known as the “visa temple”.
