Proud that my mother is Hindu: Zohran Mamdani

October 2025 298 views 2:48

New York Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani visited several Hindu temples in NYC, expressing gratitude to his maternal family for instilling Hindu values in him. “I’m proud that my mother’s family is Hindu,” said Mamdani, whose mother is the Oscar-nominated filmmaker Mira Nair. If elected, Mamdani would make history as the first South Asian, Indian, and Muslim to become Mayor of New York City
