Protest in Detroit against atrocities in Bangladesh

December 2024 536 views 01 Min 46 Sec

On December 8, members of the Hindu community gathered in Hamtramck, Michigan, to protest against discrimination faced by Hindus in Bangladesh. The demonstration, organized by Michigan Kalibari, followed the arrest of a prominent Bangladeshi Hindu leader advocating for Hindu safety in the Muslim-majority nation. Protesters waved American and Bangladeshi flags, urging U.S. intervention to address violence, job loss, and religious harassment targeting Hindus in Bangladesh. The rally underscored growing international demands for religious freedom and minority security worldwide. Similar protests by Indian Americans across the U.S. have called on global leaders to act in defense of Hindus in Bangladesh.
