BAPS Karyakar Suvarna Mahotsav Honors 100,000 BAPS Volunteers for Five Decades of Selfless Services

December 2024 907 views 01 Min 50 Sec

Ahmedabad’s Narendra Modi Stadium hosted an awe-inspiring Karyakar Suvarna Mahotsav on December 7, 2024, celebrating 50 years of selfless volunteerism by BAPS Swaminarayan Sanstha. Over 100,000 volunteers attended in person, joined by millions of viewers worldwide, to honor the legacy of seva (selfless service). The evening commenced with a ceremonious welcome for His Holiness Mahant Swami Maharaj, who arrived in a beautifully adorned chariot. Nearly 800 children and youth karyakars performed a symbolic tribute, incorporating 550 handcrafted floral petals and 225 beads meticulously prepared over four months. Themed "Seed, Tree, Fruit," the event showcased the growth and impact of BAPS volunteerism over the past century. Divided into three segments—Seed, Tree, and Fruit—the program celebrated the transformative power of service in shaping individuals, communities, and society.
